Microclimatic conditions in gaps in mixed stands in Jata reserve
The study was carried out in mixed stands in the Jata reserve. The aim of the study was to know some parameters of microclimate in gaps and under stand canopy. Following parameters were measured: a light intensity, an air temperature and an air humidity. According to the study results, the light intensity was low in mixed stands. The highest intensity of light was observed in the middle of the day (11.00–15.00 hours). The average temperature was higher in gaps than under stand canopy. The relative humidity decreased with the increase in gap size.
