Abstrakt
The comparison of growth and development of fragments of three spruce thickets from Beskid Żywiecki Mountains resulting from diameter and height measurements of trees is presented in that paper. The study was carried out in 1968-1969, 1973-1974, and in 1993. The need for paying more attention to silvicultural aspects and ways of performing the improvement cuttings resulted from the comparison.
