Abstrakt
The paper presents information regarding taxonomy, biology, ecology and limiting factors of Phaenops cyanea (Col., Buprestidae) population quantity, collected from available literature and personal observations. The particular emphasis was put on importance of temperature and ethereal substances produced by plants in mechanism of host plant selection.
