Abstrakt
Changes of chemical properties of soils from uncontaminated areas of the Białowieża and Augustów Forests were compared in the years of 1988,1992 and 1996.Unfavorable changes like soil accidification (Ofh), increase in sulphur contents (Ofh) and enhancement of decomposition of organic matter were stated in 1992. In contrast, some favourable changes like decreasing in sulphur contents, increase of calcium (Ca) contents and soil deacidification (mineral horizons) were found in 1996.
