Problems of management in the multifunctional forest holding
For the last few centuries the management of forest holding was aimed at reaching the constantly optimal level of fulfillment of a given single forest function. The concept of the multifunctional forest holding brought the necessity to look for the conditionally optimal solutions, e.g. enabling economical existence of a forest enterprise while taking into account all restrictions coming from the principles of a forest stability, sustainability and persistence.
