Provenance-progeny experimental plot with pedunculate oak (Quercus robur L.) in the Chrostowa forest range
In 1996 five provenance-progeny plots with pedunculate oak were established. One of these was located in the Carpathian Foothills in the Chrostowa forest range. Seed originated from Poland (three provenances: Zaporowo, Runowo and Zalesie) and France (one provenance: Tronçais). On the experimental plot, analyses of the forest site and the soil were carried out showing that the plot is located in the conditions of the upland mixed forest (subhumid). The mean height of the planted material averaged 41.0 cm. The mean height of progenies varied between 29.6 and 50.8 cm.
