Susceptibility of pine bark bug (Aradus cinnamomeus Panz., Hemiptera – Heteroptera) to insecticides
The investigations on using insecticides against pine bark bug (Aradus cinnamomeus Panz.) are described in the paper. The following insecticides: Decis 2,5 EC, Fastac 10 EC, Karate 025 EC, Fury 10 EC, Dursban 480 EC, Thiodan 35 EC, Lebaycid 500 EC, Marshal 250 EC, were tested on larvae and adult forms of pine bark bug under laboratory or field conditions. All insecticides were applied with the contact method in the laboratory or with spraying trees in field experiments. There were no significant differences between the toxicity of tested inseciticides in the laboratory. In the field experiment the lowest mortality of A. cinnamomeus was obtained on trees treated with Thiodan 35 EC (72,5%) and Dursban 480 EC (75,2%) in 1995. The highest mortality in this year was observed after spraying trees with synthetic pyrethroids. In the next year the lowest mortality was obtained on trees sprayed with pyrethroids (Fury 100 EC – 63,6%). Marshal 250 EC caused the same mortality (over 90%) in both 1995 and 1996 years.
