An assessing quantitative changes in demand for large-sized pine assortments in the area administered by the Regional Directorate of State Forests, Zielona Góra, between 1995–2005
Quantitative analyses on sales of large-sized pine timber in the local wood market were made using data from 20 forest divisions administered by the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Zielona Góra. Between 1995 and 2005, upturns and downturns in timber values were observed, linked to market variations.
On the basis of the analyses, large changes in pine timber sales were recorded, connected with the increases and decreases of both prices and timber volume occurring at particular times. Results of analyses of demand for different assortment can be used to increase flexibility of timber supply.
