Vitality of the mountain spruce stands in Romanka and Lipowska forest complex versus macro- and micro-elements in tree needles and chemical properties of the top layers of mineral soils
The results of analyses of chosen micro- and macroelements concentrations in spruce needles were presented in the paper. The article also presents the results of the analyses of chosen elements of the top layers of mineral soils from spruce stands of different vitality growing on varied altitudes and slopes in the mountain area. The comparison of these results of analyses with stand vitality based on the estimation of their actual increment dynamics admits better understanding of the relations. It was found that the acidity of the top layers of mineral soils increased in the last years, what can be related with the emission decrease and simultaneous improvement of stand vitality.
